 Below the Surface

"Diversity in Textile Design: Works in Progress" Graduate Textile Design Exhibit | Sep.-Nov. 2014, Fort Collins, CO

Below The Surface is a Spring/Summer women’s active wear collection that draws inspiration from cellular and bacteria structure. The collection uses vibrant colors and prints to match the high energy of any active female. The print motifs were created with the knowledge that cells change; they are dynamic and fluid. The all-over prints mimic cellular structure, as well as cells moving throughout the body. The final apparel pieces are simple in design and construction, putting emphasis on the textile prints. Colors, prints, and apparel designs were informed by trend and market research. The full collection was presented at Colorado State University in a graduate textile design exhibit.
